The annual fourth and fifth grade field day will be held on Thursday, May 31, at approximately 9:10 a.m. The event typically lasts a couple hours and will be held on the back field at Charlton Heights Elementary School.
Students will be wearing their physical education uniform. However, if it is cold, students may wear under armor, sweat pants, sweat shirts, etc. Students will also be encouraged to bring a water bottle with them out on to the field.
The rain date for field day is Friday, June 1. The decision to cancel or delay the event will be made the morning of field day. Parents may obtain more information by calling the Main Office if you have questions on the morning of the event or by checking the website.
Spectators are welcome to attend field day. We ask that all spectators stand behind the cone area, which will be used for the student athletes and staff members. Families are also invited to attend an awards ceremony at 1:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. The physical education staff will distribute ribbons from field day as well as the Presidential Physical Fitness Awards and other honors. The awards for music and the arts will be given at the annual spring concert.
Children who place first, second or third in an individual event, or first place in a team event, qualify for the District Field Day. The District Field Day is June 5 at the High School at 3:30 p.m. The rain date is June 6.
