PTAs celebrate Founders Day
winners 2012

Harrigan, Jim Schultz, Maryellen Symer, and Tim
Brunson were all honored at the Founders Day dinner
on Feb. 2, 2012
BURNT HILLS: On February 2nd, 150 Burnt
Hills-Ballston Lake parents, staff, retirees and
volunteers from across the community gathered for
the annual Founder Day dinner at River Stone Manor
in Scotia.
The evening was a surprise-filled
celebration of the stories of some amazing parents
and/or staff from each school, people who had been
nominated and selected to
recognize their years of service and their notable
dedication "above and beyond" the usual to the needs
of local students and families.
Eleven men and
women received Founders' Day Awards, which includes
an honorary lifetime membership to the PTA:

Additionally, PTA Council president
Mary Carrier presented superintendent Jim Schultz
with a Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Schultz had
received a PTA Founders Day award in 1997, and is
now preparing to retire in June after 41 years with
BH-BL.
