Free Sports Physicals, May 31

Sign up in the nurse's office if you want a free sports physical.  Physicals will be provided by the school doctor on Wednesday, May 31 during the school day.  This is the last opportunity to get a free sports physical before the Fall sports season.

Congratulations Masterminds

The BH-BL Masterminds team, Dillon Aldrich; Therese Erickson; Brendan Fogg; David Metacarpa; Patrick Molluso; Billy Noel; Camille Sirianni and Katya Zablocki had a great year!  The team competed at the District Play-Offs on Thursday, May 18 and made it through three rounds.  Congratulations and thanks for all your hard work this year.

Summer Driver Ed, deadline June 7

Summer Driver Ed applications are available in the main office and must be returned with a $300 check by June 7.  The program runs Monday thru Friday from July 5 to August 15 at O'Rourke Middle School.

5-Hour Pre-Licensing course rescheduled from June 6 and 7 to May 23 and 24

Registrations are still being accepted and the fee is $35.  This course fulfills the NYS 5-Hour classroom requirement for those signing up to take a road test.  Students who have taken driver education and have received a blue card do not have to take this course.  To register contact Dacey Bonney at  This class is held from 7 until 9:30 p.m. in the high school on both nights.  Please make sure to bring your permit to class.

Upcoming Important Senior Information

  • Graduation rehearsal will be held at the high school on Monday, June, 19, 2017 at 10 a.m.  All graduates who plan to participate in the graduation exercises must attend the rehearsal.  Rehearsal should last no more than an hour and a half.  Caps and gowns will be available in the gym that same day from 8:30 until 10 a.m.  The cap and gown fee is $25.30.
  • Graduation will be held at noon on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at SPAC.  Tickets are not required.
  • Stop in at Mail & More on Route 50, Burnt Hills to order your graduation invitations.

Burnt Hills Cheerleading Conditioning/Open Gyms, Tuesdays thru May 30

Burnt Hills Cheerleading will hold cheer conditioning/open gym classes every Tuesday from May 2 thru May 30 in the Middle School back gym from 3:45 until 5:30 p.m.

Girls Field Hockey meeting, May 23

There will be a field hockey meeting on Tuesday, May 23 during AAP in the lower cafeteria for anyone interested in playing in the Fall.

Preseason Football Cheerleading meeting, May 23

There will be a preseason meeting for Football Cheerleading on Tuesday, May 23 during AAP in the lower cafeteria.  All those interested in the fall Cheerleading season should attend.

Girls mandatory Volleyball meeting, May 24

There will be a mandatory meeting for all girls interested in playing volleyball next fall on Wednesday, May 24 during AAP in the gym.  Please contact Coach Bynon with questions.

Girls JV or Varsity mandatory Tennis meeting, May 24

Any girl interested in playing Varsity, JV or Modified girls soccer this fall must attend the Spring meeting on Tuesday, May 30 at 2:45 p.m. in the High School Red Room.

LeFont meeting, May 23

LeFont will be meeting on Tuesday, May 23 during AAP in Room 116.  Please stop by to help plan a farewell Coffee House and magazine release party.

End of the year Math Club meeting/party, May 24

Math Club will hold an end of the year meeting/party on Wednesday, May 24 during AAP in Room 125.  Elections for next year will be held.  Bring a snack or beverage to share with the group.  Please see Ms. Litynski if you cannot attend.
