Attendance:  Don Germain, Robin Gawrys, Lori Moore, Amy Clark, Karen Shipston, Judy Brinkman, Pattie Rakvica, Nancy Pearse, Suzanne Rayome, Janet Bianchi

1. Review of the Minutes:  The minutes from the April 28, 2009 meeting were approved as written.

2. Staff Development Day:  A preliminary sketch for the September staff development days was presented to the Council for review by Karen Shipston, Staff Development Representative.

3. Breakfast of Celebration:  Concerns over the student selection for the Breakfast of Celebration were briefly discussed.  It was agreed to table this item for a more specific deliberation during the Summer Council retreat.

4. Summer Curriculum Projects:  Three Summer Curriculum Projects for Art, FACS, and ELA were presented to the Council by representative members of the staff.  The Council agreed to move all three projects forward for approval by the District with preferred priority given to the Art and FACS program projects due to the fact that budgetary constraints have caused an immediate need to restructure those courses.

5. Summer Council Retreat:  The Summer Council retreat will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 in the Library Classroom commencing at 8:30 AM.  An agenda will be forwarded to the members in the near future.
