If your children are looking for something to fill up their lazy summer days, sign them up for Summer Rec, which is a supervised recreation program that provides children with a place to play sports, try new things, and develop friendships.
Any child who is entering grades 1 though 8 in the 2017-18 school year is eligible for Summer Rec. Registered children must live in the town of Ballston, Charlton, or Glenville.
Due to ongoing renovation and construction work at the high school, Summer Rec will be held at Charlton Heights Elementary School. The program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Summer Rec begins Monday, June 26 and ends Friday, July 21.
The program costs $350 per children for the entire season for Town of Ballston and Glenville residents. For children who live in the Town of Charlton, the cost is $400 per child. (Due to the Town of Charlton reducing appropriated funding, a $50 usage fee per registered child must be applied.)
Do your children need a ride? Free busing will be provided for registered students. See bus stop schedule at registration night for designated stops.
You can register your child for Summer Rec on either Wednesday, May 3 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the BH-BL High School cafeteria or Wednesday, May 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at BH-BL High School, 88 Lake Hill Road.
