The Centennial Challenge began as a race to celebrate the first 100 years of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District. The first race was held in 2015, and the three PTA organizations from Charlton Heights, Pashley and Stevens came together to plan the event. The first race was such a success, that it is now an annual community event.
This year, a professional company is handling registration, race organization and timing. All races will begin and end close to the entrance of the new track and turf field--Centennial Field.
In addition to the 5K race at 10 a.m. there will be other races on Centennial Field beginning at 11 a.m.
