2025-26 Kindergarten Registration, Feb. 25-28

Instructions for Kindergarten Registration

Is your child eligible for kindergarten in the 2025-26 school year? He or she must be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2025 to be eligible. To register, come to the district office/Hostetter Leadership Center Tuesday, February 25 through Friday, February 28, 2025 between 8 am and 4 pm.

There is also an incoming kindergarten parent information meeting on Monday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 in the high school auditorium.

Parents are asked to bring with them the completed registration materials mailed out last month. (Children are not required to be at registration.) If you are not able to bring the materials during that time, please contact the Registrar, Mary Ann De Luca, at 518- 399-9141 X 85015 or at mdeluca@bhbl.org.

If your child will be homeschooled, enrolled in a private school, or will not be attending one of the BH-BL elementary schools for any other reason, please contact Mary Ann De Luca at 518-399-9141 X 85015.

On the day you come to register, the following documents will be required:

  • 3 Proofs of Residency:
    (One must be a school tax bill or property tax bill within the last calendar year (if you don’t own your home, please provide a copy of your lease) and two other proofs from the following:

    • current utility bill or cable/internet bill,
    • license,
    • car registration,
    • bank statement, or
    • a contract to purchase/build a domicile with a closing date
      Deeds and mortgage statements are not acceptable proofs of residency
  • Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate with date of birth. Your child must be five (5) years old on or before December 1, 2025.
  • Immunization Record (official record signed by physician)
  • Health Appraisal form (signed by physician)
  • Student Health Summary form (completed by parent)
    If relevant, additional documentation needed:

    • Copy of court ordered custody papers identifying the parent with physical custody, visitation rights and responsibilities of each parent.
