Automotive seniors earn professional certifications at Capital Region BOCES
ALBANY – Twenty seniors from across the spectrum of area schools recently earned professional automotive certifications at Capital Region BOCES.
Students in Scott Tessier’s and Brian LaCroix’s Automotive Technology and AYES programs recently earned their Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling certification, thus heating up their career options once they graduate.
The professional certification – which is sought after by employers – shows the students understand the use of recycling equipment in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, refrigerant containment, and the effects of the refrigerants on the environment.
Earning the certification from Scott Tessier’s class are seniors (shown from left to right in the attached photo) Logan Meyer of Shenendehowa, Asa Guntert of Guilderland, Christian Faulkner (adult student), Nathan Martindale Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (BHBL), Alex Gordon of Mohonasen, Evan VanValkenburg of Scotia-Glenville, Leon Bhajan of Schenectady, Sam Anzalone, Anthony Pfister and Ryan Bisner, all of Mohonasen.
