On Tuesday, May 22, Freedom Circle at BH-BL High School was surrounded by the members of the Class of 2024 as they attended the annual Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the Student Government Organization.
This somber and meaningful school tradition allows high school students to pause for a few moments in their daily lives to remember those who gave all for our country. Along with thoughtful speeches by SGO members, the high school band played the National Anthem and the choir sang “America the Beautiful.”
A local Color Guard group of four cadets presented the American Flag and senior Nicole Boyea asked for a moment of silence and remembrance while she played “Taps” on the trumpet.
The senior class attends the event in person and it’s broadcast live to the entire student body and staff by Spartan Studios, which is made up of high school students. Follow this link to watch the live broadcast.
